Health & Safety Policy
Group believes that effective Health, safety and Environmental (HSE) Management is an integral part of our business and is essential to our long–term success.
Goals
This policy:
- shows the commitment of HRJ’s management and workers to health and safety
- aims to remove or reduce the risks to the health, safety and welfare of all workers, contractors and visitors, and anyone else who may be affected by our business operations
- aims to ensure all work activities are done safely.
Responsibilities
Management (the supervisor and/or manager) is responsible for providing and maintaining:
- a safe working environment
- safe systems of work
- plant and substances in a safe condition
- facilities for the welfare of all workers
- any information, instruction, training and supervision needed to make sure that all workers are safe from injury and risks to their health
- Identifying Health & Safety risks to people and environmental impact arising from our operations and either eliminating them or managing them to levels that are as low as reasonably practicable
- Investigating and reporting all HSE-related accidents, likewise, we will identify our environmental interactions and will use processes, practices, materials or products that will avoid, reduce or control pollution in line with present legal and other obligations as far as reasonably practicable.
Workers are responsible for:
- ensuring their health and safety, and that of others in the workplace
- complying with any reasonable directions (such as safe work procedures, wearing personal protective equipment) given by management for health and safety
- Promoting and maximizing HSE awareness through continuous training to our employees at various levels.
